Celebrating Christmas with tin toy`s
A tin toy, or tin lithograph toy, was a mechanical toy made out of tinplate and originally colorfully painted by hand.
Tinplate was used in the manufacture of toys beginning in the mid-19th century. Due to the Second World War, there was a shortage of tin plate, which led to a search in sheet and scrap lithographs, old sardine cans already used, to recycle and reuse these for use in the manufacture of toys.
It`s perfectly visible the use of sardine can tine plate in some toy`s.
